    I wonder how many people can do if a cross word is created completely on the basis of Bible or Quran. This one is just like that. I have no idea about many of the questions in it. So giving up. What about others? Am I the only one like that?

    yes, someone needs to be very familiar with the puranas and myths to answer this, be it hindu or non-hindu. I could answer most of them as I have read many ‘amar chithra kathas’ during my childhood. but it’s ok as something like this once in a while. I wouldn’t mind to see a bible or kuran related crossword even though i wouldn’t be able to answer it. I may be tempted to learn more stories related those texts if there a crossword!

    I agree with Beena somewhat, in fact, i was about to comment the same, but then left it.

    But most of the answers can be searched thru internet. And if you rememebr the stories published by Poompatta and ‘AMAR CHITRA KATHA’, you will get lot of answers. I am 33 year old, and it is more than 15 years since i read Mahabharatam or Bhagavatam or Ramayanam last ime. But because of the amarchitrakathas, which i read when i was a kid, helped a lot in filling up this

    Harikumar, if you are looking for the answer to 30 A, dont waste time searching names of Ganeshan, better you look the name of an Asuran

    Arun, if you got the answers for 23 A and 30 A, then you can get the answer for 24 D, with a simple trial and error, one more clue, somewhat related to eye

    Beena, Please dont give up, see already more than 25 people finished (most of them, i guess, would not have ever read any of the hindu mythological texts), i am sure you also can.

    Am finished everything without seeking the clues from other participants. But am 100% agree with Ms. Beena because the current conditions no one can enough experience with Puranas…….So Mr. Anish provide some more clues to the participants who is seeking the help to complete the crossword.

    Thank you all for your responses to my comment. For God’s sake pls dont think that I am against puranas or anything like that. No never. I disagree with this cw as it is completely based on the puranas. I am much senior than you all and I havent read amar chirthra kadhas. I am 44 years old and have been living in AbuDhabi for the last 22 years. So I dont come across with any books like that. Of course i like to do this cross word as it is a good way to pass time and I have scored 55 now. And I stopped there, as i cant move a step more. I can continue only if i get a few more clues only. I wish you all the best.

    Hi all, i dont agree with it that its not right to create a cross word completely based on any kind of religion or thought, i finished it without the help of any clues, but i dont have well knowledge on purana and ithihasam. Yes i have also read amarchitra katha in my childhood, but this not helped me to found all answers, its only partially helped me. I found correct answers through search on net. So I think anyone can play and create cw on any subject.

    Beena ji, please dont give up….You said that scored 55 and dint move a step, but u tried and now u reach 63, So I am sure that an inteligent search and the clues given here will definitly help u to complete this cw. You can also create cw completely based on any kind of religion or thought, everyone participating here will definitly happy and like to play. But I agree with that the current conditions for giving clue is difficult for some one to complete cw based on this kind of subject.

    About 24D its the only one i dint find in any search and I dont have any idea about this. I made it by a trial and error!!

    24 D, if you are looking for 24 D (there isn’t any 24A in this CW), check the famous duet song in the new version of the film “neelathamara”, you can get a similar word in the first few lines.
    31 A , think of malayalam word for drunkard and do some trial and errror.

    19 A, answer almost there in the question itself. Murane vadhichavan

    15A, a famous indian cricketer / coach is there with this name.

    Hi Shanmukhapriya thanks for your inspiration. Being inspired with all your motivation, I tried again and have scored 80. But i think I should surrender here. No way to move forward. I hope somebody will post more clues. I have got the answer to 1A but it doesnt match from 3rd letter. for 13A first letter is missing. for 9A & 17A no idea! For 19A, i tried the terms i know. ie shakti, ekadasi etc but it doesnt match. Second letter of 15D also is needed. Anyway, thanks for all your inspiration. Otherwise I would have given up on the first day itself.

    @Prasad, just hav google search for Devi chamundi , go for wiki options, you will get it… She killed two demons and thus came her name, one among those demons is the answer for this.

    Thanks to Priya and shinoj for the clues for 19A. Still got stuck with 17A. No idea at all. The first letter of 13A, second letter of 3D and 15D. wht is the malayalam word that start with Ha for jaw? Or am I wrong about it?

    Rajesh, for the third letter of 19A you , you try its second letter with different vowels. Then you will get it.

    3D – Anjaneyan is better known among ourselves in another name, a strong character of Ramayana, and the answer of the question is there in that more popular name of him.
    15D – think of malayalam word for decimal point , and do some trail and errror with its two letters. :-) , sorry I can’t be more specific….

    26D – Think of malayalam words for stars…

    Dear Rajesh, Shinoj & Anjana, Thank you so much for the clues. Finally it worked and i completed it. On seeing it as a difficult cross word I had decided to give up. It was only by your inspiration and support i did it. There is no spirit in doing it after getting the answers revealed. Thanks for igniting my brain with clues. (It is almost frozen as I am not using it properly!) On seeing your helping mentality i remembered an old article i read long before. In an olympics for the special need children a few of them were participating in a running race. After starting the race, one of them fell down and cried. On hearing the cry, those who were running the race stopped, came back to the fell down fellow, took his hand and they all ran together holding their hands each other and won the race together. It is really surprising and heartening to know that helping people are still there . Let us all try not to lose the love, care and helping mentality. What Shinoj told is true. This is turning out to be a friendly community. Thanks to the admn also. Waiting to hear more from all of you, Beena.
