4th cell of 6D was really problematic. The same letter suited later which showed wrong first.I remember another one or two similar situations earlier.

You are right about the 6D. I was really wondering about how that letter could be shown as an error. And thanks Anil for creating an entertaining crossword.

6D 4th letter red color l kandu. same letter pinneedu right ayi. and finished with 9th rank and 3 bonus points. but when i open it today it again shows red color. what i need to do?

I have some doubt – regarding the question because the crossword catogary “Theerthadanam”
so please clarify the relation the following questions & the Catagory head – 4A,16A,17A,5D,21A (answer was wrong), 3D.

Sorry for disturbing you becasue I am not able to match the above said clues and head. When you are giving heading for a Crossword – the participant’s thinking going one the same way. But this crossword is misleading the participants with the heading. Please check. I think this is GENERAL Crossword not a specialised one.

And 21 A – Answer was wrong – the answer given- one place name in palakkad district – the actual answer is required – the place name in TVM district

21A- I think that is in Kottayam – see am not familiar with the places in south kerala.

as i was stressing this several times, when one creates a crossword in an event like this, where so many people are participating very competitively, do not take it lightly. it is a very responsible task. He/she is answerable to the participants and responsible for their valuable time. You have to cross verify several times for both spelling mistakes as well as factual errors. You have to be 100% sure of your answers.

So far, on an average, i have seen 2 – 3 mistakes or compromises for linking per crossword (only a few exceptions). this is way beyond acceptable, and is really very bad. There is no room for error here. for example in this crossword, 21A is clearly wrong. 20A is also wrong (no body noticed it though) first jain temple outside india was built in 1960s in Kenya whereas the one in the answer is built in 1983!!!! check the internet properly if you dont beleive.

Yes, to err is human, but to repeat many errors several times is not. my advice to crossword creators are
1. check thoroughly for any spelling mistakes
2. ensure the clues and answers are correct by verifying from several sources
3. if you do not have patience to verify the accuracy of the crossword you create, don’t attempt to create one

i strongly feel that the efforts i put in to create those crosswords were wasted by mistakes in other crosswords. you many pls note that none of my crosswords so far had any spelling mistake / factual errors or even compromises for linking. i have spent on an average 10-12 hours to create each crossword

Also, there were discusiions sometime back about deducting the points of those creators who make mistakes in crossword. We need to seriously and strictly follow that

it’s not a pilgrim centre, but a famous district in Karnataka. If you have already answered 5D, you got one letter and then check the Karnataka districts with that clue.
