I dont think this should be considered as a crossword.There are no proper clue for most of the items and the clues given are confusing.

I reckon admin to be of more care before publishing these kind of crosswords

പക്ഷേ…പാതിരാത്രിക്കിരുന്ന് അവേശപൂർവ്വം പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന പാവങ്ങളോട്‌ ഒരൽപ്പം കരുണ കാണിക്കാരുന്നു !!! ശബ്ദ താരാവലി ഇല്ലാതെ 50% പോലും തീർക്കാൻ സാധിക്കില്ല. വിദേശമലയാളികൾക്ക്‌ എവിടുന്നാ ശബ്ദതാരാവലി ? ചില ഉത്തരങ്ങൾ ജലജയുടെ പഴയ പദപ്രശ്നം തപ്പി എടുത്തു.
ഓരു കാര്യം എനിക്കുറപ്പാ… പിച്ചകത്തിൽ ജലജക്ക്‌ ആരാണ്ടു കൈവിഷം കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടു !!!

ഇതിത്രയും വിഷമം പിടിച്ചതാവും എന്ന് സ്വപ്നേപി ഞാന്‍ വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. പൂക്കളുടെ പേരു മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒരു പദപ്രശ്നം എന്ന് വിചാരിച്ചാണ് നിര്‍മ്മാണം തുടങ്ങിയത്. പിന്നെ ചില വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചകള്‍ വേണ്ടിവന്നു. പിച്ചകപ്പൂ ഇഷ്ടമാണെങ്കിലും മൂന്നു തവണ വേണ്ട എന്നു തന്നെയായിരുന്നു എന്റെയും മനസ്സില്‍. പക്ഷേ ഒഴിവാക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. തുഷാര പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ എനിക്കും സംശയം ഇനി വല്ല കൈവിഷവുമാണോ!!?

പദപ്രശ്നം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഒരു കാര്യം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക,ഇതു കളിക്കുന്നവര്‍ എല്ലാം സുകുമാര്‍ അഴീക്കോടോ എം.കെ സാനുവോ അല്ല.
ഔതൊരു പക്ഷേ എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായത്തോട് പലര്‍ക്കും വിയോജിപ്പുണ്ടാകാം.എങ്കിലും നിര്‍മ്മാതാവിനെ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങള്‍ അറിയിക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു വേദി ആയതിനാലാണു ഇതെഴുതുന്നത്.

Dear Admin/Ms.Jalaja,

This is not a “Pradesika Crossboard”. This is for all malayalees in the word…dont ask the question or clues on the basis of “Pradesika Words” for example “Pavakka”. In kerala from TVM to Kasargode…….different type of “prayogam” for one thing. So dear admin dont pass the crosswords like this………to the players…..please check the questions before publishing………that is your responsability….

And the clues are not enough to answer the questions……..for example…pichakkan(2 times) vazhya, kattuvazha…, ramapriyam………etc etc….

We are here in Gulf Countries dont possible to refer the Sabhdatharavali………

Please consider theses things in your next crossword..

dear jalaja, i guessed so (about shabdataravali), sorry to say that i do not consider this as a great one! this one would be very very simple if u have a copy of shabda taravali and if u dont have, u r gone. i beleive a crossword should be something which can be solved by using ur brain, rather than a book. (i dont have a shabda taravali and i cud score 97, its not bad, right?. let me try ur new clues and see whether i can do better?)

ഇതൊരു മത്സരമല്ലേ? ഒരോരുത്തരുടെ താത്പര്യം അനുസരിച്ച് പദപ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; കളിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാം ഒരേ ‘പൊതുവിജ്ഞാനം’ എന്ന വിഷയത്തില്‍ മാത്രമാണെങ്കില്‍, എല്ലാം ഒരൊറ്റ സെക്കന്റ് കൊണ്ട് പൂരിപ്പിക്കാവുന്ന പദപ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ ആണെങ്കില്‍, പിന്നെ അതില്‍ എന്തു രസം?

വിവിധ മേഖലകളില്‍, വിവിധ തരത്തില്‍ പദപ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതല്ലേ നല്ലത്. ചിലത് എളുപ്പമാകും ചിലത് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ളതാകും. ഇഷ്ടം പോലെ സമയം കളിക്കാന്‍ കിട്ടുന്നതിനു വേണ്ടിയാണ് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ള പദപ്രശ്നം ആദ്യമേ കൊടുത്തത്. എളുപ്പമുള്ളത് വഴിയേ വരുന്നുണ്ട്.

It is not the level of difficulty, but i guess it is the basis for the crossword, that is what people do not agree with. a crossword, based on a single book does not look like a good idea.This crossword, for sure has nothing to do with ‘prakrithi’, but only with that book.

if tomorrow somebody prepares a crossword based on say ‘Avakashikal’ won’t that be impossible to solve for those who do not have a copy of the book?

Yes, i agree that the words in shabdataravali cannot be considered in similar fashion, but practically it is impossible for anybody (even for a PHD in Malayalam or sukumar azhikkode or M K Sanu or ONV or Balachandran Chullikkadu) to solve this without a copy of that single book (or else people should do a trial and error method for each cell, which surely does not gel with the aim of this crossword series).

i hope admin and jalaja understnad the reason why people are not happy.

This is “mudathan nyayam”- we are insist you to provide easy Crossboard…..we are also interested to fill the crossboard with difficult questions….. This is for increasing the general knowledge of the normal people not a malayalam study class for 5 to 7th standard students with the help of shabdatharavali. And some Question asking the “pradesika prayogam” answers. I told you before from TVM to Kasargode……..the people speaking malayalam in different slang and different words for one thing…….

This is not fair dear admin, you may please check the “crossboard” before publish to competitors…….that is your duty. Dont give silly answers like this for our letter…….

One more thing we are not asking you to make the crossboard as per our interest but you understand the quality of the questions……..for example…… 23A…”pavakka maram” its a himalayan blunder………I thing pavakka/kaippakka is a climber not a tree…….you must check each and every question you will find out the “thamasa” like this…….

ഇതിന്റെ ആദ്യവരിയില്‍ ആദ്യഭാഗം ഉണ്ട്. 2 അക്ഷരം . ബാക്കി 3 അക്ഷരം അഞ്ച് ആയി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതാണ്.

Dear Admin/Ms.Jalaja,

There is no point of talking about toughness in crosswords. I too cope up with the idea that every crossword should have a certain kind of difficulty level embedded in it and I presume all the palyers will accept the same …… Else it can’t be called so

Here are my observations on the topic..

1 As Ms. Jalaja later pointed out that it is based on Shabdatharavali … shall i put up a crossword purely based on children Magazine ” Balarama” or something based on so called “Crime”Magazine .Will it be in your acceptance level then ?…..

2 I too agree with there can be crossword subjected on ” Nature”,but the topic called “Nature” is such a wide one so that there is no point in being confined to a single book called “LakhuSabdhatharavali” to setup a crossword on the same .In doing so we believe , the creator himself/herself is bound to a narrow tunnel of knowledge on a book rather than being wide open and it is not a good way to groom themselves up.

3 I have come across thousands of crosswords in books /interent/papers so far but couldn’t recollect a single of them based on a book.I am not against the Ms. Jalajas’ idea but it then it should be confined to the points mentioned above.

4 If I were in the position of Ms Jalaja , I would have given vivid & ample clues for the players to try their best through trial and error or divide and conquer…… or xyz…
Because in a crossword , clues are the basic elements that prompt the player to brainstorm and then by giving clues like “RamaPriyam” i dont know how an average person can storm his brain for the same.

Anyway kudos to the people who had done it brilliantly.
Also don’t feel bad Ms Jalaja , you had done your part well too,but i was just sharing my thoughts for the sake of this entire players community.

Bijesh, if i am not too late, the clue for the answer to 25A, we have given the same name for the qn “chanadanamaram” in the KRKT 0004 with a slight difference. Or you can search on net for the name of Urvashi’s character in the film “Achuvinte Amma” , as Ms.Jalaja told. By the way can you help me with clues for the third letter of 14A, 3-5 letters of 17A and of course 13D.
