What is the meaning of this???

When I search for ” Padakkam” or ” Vadivaal” or Achchadakkam , I get words like ” padhakkam” as in “Swarnapadhakkam”.

In place of “Da” (Vada) appears as ( Dosa).

Kindly advise.

It would have been perfect if you guys could provide the three forms of a verb and their meaning along with the requested word.

For example,

User asking meaning of ‘take’

then with the meaning of the word ‘take’ ,its other forms should also come. i e. took and taken with meaning.

It will provide a better base to the People to get aware of other forms and its usages.

If you visit dictionaries like Dictionary.Cambridge.org etc you can see such advanced level of information.

The word “Mutt” has another meaning , ie a crossbred dog. I do not know the Malayalam word for it.

The meaning of ‘check’ given is very narrow one. ‘Cheack’ also means to test(e.g.for diagnosis)

I’m quite saddened by the fact that no website gives the English equivalents for stars – Ashwathi, Bharani, Karthika……etc. I could gather a few from old books, but somehow the full list of equivalents in English is not available. For example, when I look for Makayiram, the equivalent should be ‘Orion’. The answer now get is an ‘additional info’, not the translation. If it’s Thiruvathira, the answer should be ‘Betelguese’. Can you update your dictionary. You will probably get the info from scientists from Cochin university or even journalists from Trivandrum Doordarshan? Film actor Nedumudi Venu had anchored some documentaries for Doordarshan. You can check with him too for help.

Would it be possible to specify the part of speech along with the meaning? The verb form and noun form might have different meanings. Hence the meaning has to reflect this.

‘Fanatic’ is a generic world which is described as one having ” uncritical devotion” to a cause. This need not be specifically a relegious one. As such malayalam translation given here does not seem appropriate as it covers only religious fanatic. For eg; what word to be used for, say a person who is a fitness fanatic or a political fanatic or a fanatic atheist.
Therefore a better word needs to be coined. Regards

After showing the result of one Malayalam word, it is not showing the mal key board again.

mashithandu seems to be good, but for many simply words i could not find the meaning in it. actually it was not available in mashithnadu. The website has to be more adequate to reach to people who looks for meanings.

an exmaple: there is no meaning for “Soften” is a very simply word.

Could you have the new version show similar words as well. This feature was present in the old version. It is very useful when the correct Malayalam spelling isn’t known.

hi, i m using mashithantu by past 1 year….it was very useful for me, bt ur new version …, i dont think this is good. becoz lots of prob. 1st its not giving meaning, just before i wrote faithful.. bt its telling dat , this is new word for mashithatu.like this common word…., and lots of like this.
2nd main prob is when am writing malayalam old written word(wat we wrote before , like history) coming on d top of malayalam translation textbox. so its not able to c malayalam translation…., one more its not user friendly as well. u coud hve make better user interface..
