MashiThantu is a software collection to promote the use of Malayalam language in the dynamic worlds of internet communications. As we believe in the age old saying – A journey of thousand miles must begin with a single step and as a first step, we take great pleasure to introduce a Malayalam-Malayalam-English dictionary (beta). A full fledged Malayalam Text Editor and a Spell Checker are in the pipeline.

Nighantu Approach
The text box provided in the left top corner of the page enables you to type Manglish and the suggestion box simultaneously displays the corresponding Malayalam words. Use “Find Meaning” button to get the meaning (if it is present in the dictionary).

You may use Google Search button to search a Malayalam word in Google.

This dictionary is targeted to add 45,000+ words to its database.

    A few people are involved in the translation of english meaning to Malayalam. it may take time. you may join them by editing the words you know.

    The meaning of “upariplavam” has been given correct; but those are definitions only. The single ters could be as “superficial” or/and “trivial”
